I’ve finally finished (except for buying and sewing in a zip) the biggest project I’ve ever knitted! Hurray!
I bought a lovely Debbie Bliss book from the LYS (Wibbling Wools) called Land Girl and loved the Zipped Fairisle Gilet.
I’ve been working really hard on it, and have been desperate to get it done, and last night I finally finished the last row on the collar lining and could cast off. I didn’t like the fairisle patterning on in the pattern, so I’ve been inventive and designed my own, and I love it, it’s going to be so cozy to wear!

You are so brave! I always struggle with fair isle. I end up with a big knot and lots of wool balls swinging around it. It’s never pretty.
